About Dera
Dera starts with the job, picks a tool, explains why, and gives you a prompt and route to try.
People rarely want a writing tool or a presentation app. They want the job finished.
How Dera works
01
Most people do not want ten tools in a category. They want to finish one job. A long list still leaves you doing the comparison work yourself.
02
Dera starts with the job to be done, not the abstract category. That keeps the page honest about what a tool actually needs to solve.
03
Every task page ends in a recommendation and a stated reason for it. The point is not just the answer, but why that answer won.
04
We revisit tools as pricing changes, products shift, and new entrants catch up. A recommendation should reflect today, not an old ranking frozen in place.
I kept a spreadsheet. For each job, I tested a few tools and wrote down which one actually helped. It became more useful than another search result.
Dera is that spreadsheet made public: one job, realistic options, one starting pick, and the reason. Paid review never buys the answer.
Send a note to the people who make the picks. We read every correction and every challenge to the current answer.
